Finally a Rainy Sunday!

The garden is still growing. It's been a lot of work to keep all these plants from drying up and dieing. I might just be one of the few on our block who has green grass in the backyard. I got tired of walking on crunchy grass and pulled out the hose! Mother Nature has given us some relief today, with a few spurts of rain and a wonderful breeze. The pumpkin vines and gourd vines are gracefully climbing the fence and starting to flower. The gourd flowers look like they almost glow as the sun sets.

Good Stuff!

These last few weeks have been an adventure! We shared many fun filled days at the lake, I taught Nathan the basics of swimming, the kids learned how to skip stones on water (the important things!) We shared a lot of laughter and ice cream!

The yummy double chocolate fudge cake with a strawberry flower, I made on our last day before returning home.

I'm glad we're home and jumping back into our normal routine. I've already started another bag and found an antique cabinet to hold all my paints and some card making supplies too!

I'm undecided if I'm going to paint it, so for now it has clear shelving liner to protect it from my daily use. Hobbes snuggled right up to it and got his power nap for the day.

Repaint with color!

Today's crafty idea was to take the 1975 handmade pitcher that I found for a steal of 50 cents and spruce it up with some color.
 Before..
and of course ..after
Tomorrow it will get a coat of clear glossy paint before it's ready to be a holder for more crafty supplies!

Indianapolis Zoo!

We had an adventure to Indiana early Saturday morning. After driving for 3 hours through plenty of construction, we were finally able to stretch our legs and roamed around the Indianapolis Zoo for 6 hours!

The whole day was AWESOME!

Summer "Vacation"

Life got a bit crazy on me at the beginning of the week. I'm easing into having a schedule for everything in the mornings and nothing in the afternoons. My days for the last week and the next are full of 4 kids, 5 dogs, 3 birds and a cat...oh and many afternoons at the lake!
I was finally able to visit one of my favorite little fabric stores! I'm looking forward to making some more new bags very soon!!

You can find the newest Groovy Lil Bag in the web store.

Ready for Summer!

100% Cotton Hand Made Wash Cloths and Scrubbies were recently added to the web store. They are colorful and wonderful for washing your dishes, or use them in the tub!

A Groovy Lil Bag of Inspiration with two pockets on the outside, and two more on the inside. It will be up for sale this week, if you're interested send me a message!

The last week of school! Oh the many things they've had crammed into lockers, all the last minute fieldtrips, saying goodbye to all the teachers and friends, getting ready for summer camp. This was Nathan's last year for elementary school, all my lil men are growing up so fast! I'm so thankful for summer when I get to spend more hours with them and so blessed to have the chance to watch them grow..
and a whole bunch of hours for gardening and laughter!
