In my search for something to draw I found "Flying Hands". My goal is to paint this on the wall in my bedroom. I decided to draw it first, using graphite pencils, colored pencils and charcoal.

Back to "Normal"
My hand is back to normal. In my few days of resting I had some new ideas. I'm now working on more note cards and small gift bags for the upcoming holiday. I found the smaller panels of Shirt Tales fabric that mom had given me. They are actually supposed to be sewn as Christmas ornaments, but I just couldn't do it. So they are now going on drawstring bags. Twelve lucky people will be seeing these soon!

Project put on hold.
Yesterday we enjoyed the company of lots of family & friends. We had our early Thanksgiving dinner full of nontraditional food, games for the kids, honoring the veterans in our family & the hug line. The hug line still cracks me up! This is the second year my mom has made everyone stand in a line so all of us get a hug from everyone there. It reminds me of the video's I've seen of people on the side of the road with signs for free hugs. It's crazy, people get embarrassed but everyone gets a good laugh & lots of love! : )
While I was loading the car to head home the trunk decided not to stay open & came down on my hand. It's now swollen and hard to grasp things. So my projects are put on hold until I heal.

Here's to the lucky!
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.

with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Pumpkins & Squirrel Feeders
After all the hard work of planting, caring, watering and harvesting the pumpkins I can now say it was worth it! Calvin & I sat on the porch and turned the little pumpkins into squirrel feeders, since they were eating them anyway.
They lasted 1 day & the squirrels loved it.. I think I even heard one of them laughing as it ate!

Covered Bridge Festival
We ventured out Tuesday morning to Mansfield, IN to take in the view of all the beautiful trees changing colors, the many venders selling their goods & to find some good deals!
Mom tried on some snazzy reading glasses, but ended up not buying them. |
We sat by the water and enjoyed a cool breeze while eating lunch. |
Crossed the bridge.. |
Had many laughs while browsing! |
Found signs I would love to make in the near future. |
Enjoyed the whole day with people I love! |

CHALK: "It's natural! Mother Nature made it for us to color with!"
Ok so mother nature didn't make chalk but it was pretty funny when I blurted it out while sitting on the front porch. At my house, you can find a container of chalk on the front porch just waiting to be used.
Today's inspiration is chalk.
The boys have murals painted on their bedroom walls
with chalk board paint.
The kitchen's 15 foot wall, above the sink is all chalk board! : )

Fairy things..
This groovy lil chic I get to hang out with everyday has a book about creating fairy things. (two things I love!) So together we made salt dough beads. After they cool off from being baked in the oven we painted them, and this is what I made today. She is a very inspirational young lady!

Mother Nature at Home
All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today. - Indian Proverb
As from a large heap of flowers many garlands and wreaths are made, so by a mortal in this life there is much good work to be done. ~ Buddha
The flowers that sleep by night, opened their gentle eyes and turned them to the day. The light, creation's mind, was everywhere, and all things owned its power. ~ Charles Dickens
