August must be my month for sunflowers!
I love the colors on each petal.
It looks as if each petal is painted with care. This one broke when the storm came through the other night. As it found it's way into a vase, I was inspired to start another painting. It's not quite done yet, but I wanted to share.
Something about painting, and taking your time doing it, soothes the soul.

I must soothe my soul...and pick up a paint brush already! Great looking sunflower, Van Gogh would be proud...not sure about Picasso though, not geometric enough for that guy. Have a great week, paint a lot!
