Fairy things..

This groovy lil chic I get to hang out with everyday has a book about creating fairy things. (two things I love!) So together we made salt dough beads. After they cool off from being baked in the oven we painted them, and this is what I made today. She is a very inspirational young lady!

Mother Nature at Home

All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today. - Indian Proverb

As from a large heap of flowers many garlands and wreaths are made, so by a mortal in this life there is much good work to be done. ~ Buddha

The flowers that sleep by night, opened their gentle eyes and turned them to the day. The light, creation's mind, was everywhere, and all things owned its power. ~ Charles Dickens

Our lil pumpkin patch...

My lil men have convinced me to make a pumpkin patch with them. We planted some seeds that we saved from last Halloween's Jack-O-Lantern, during the last week in May. After all of the exhaustion of digging in the dirt, planting, laughing so hard our tummy's hurt, muscle spasms & a trip to the ER.. we are now on our way to growing our very own pumpkins. :) Yep, this is one of many adventures I will not forget!
The beginning.

Wings of Creativity

Another day...another bag. This one took me a week to complete, but well worth the time & love that goes with each bag I make.
My own personal wings of creativity are on this one. I drew it on the fabric then went over it with the sewing machine. It was very time consuming but I think it turned out great!
The lucky lady to carry this one is my best friend <3

In my absence of writing, bag making & many other things I decided not to do in the last month or two I've made my circle and came back to it all. Taking time off from everyday being the same does wonders for the mind & soul. Life tends to take over & I eventually go back to the daily routine. I've been dealing with not being able to work in my creative loft. The weather changed & it gets way too hot up there, so until I get it all moved to the spare room I'm working from the dining room again.
My latest creation!
16" by 15" by 7"
The other 2 of these I've made so far I ended up keeping. I've been using them constantly! One of these will hold what you can put into 4 plastic bags you get from the grocery store. So I usually take 4 of my bags to get groceries & come home with NO plastic! ♥ I find it amusing when the checker at the store picks up my bag & looks for a tag to scan it!

Fat Quarters

What Is a Fat Quarter?

It's a term used by quilters.

A fat quarter is a one-fourth yard cut of fabric that (usually) measures 18" x 22" instead of the typical 9" x 44" quarter-yard cut. The longest side's dimension will vary if your fabric is not 44" wide.
A new friend got me hooked on fat quarters. She likes quilting, I like bags, so I used a little quilting inspiration & created my new bag. I will definitely be making more like this, with different colors & variety.
Another new bag (not made with fat quarters) that I made.Keep checking my website as more new bags will continue to be added as they are made!
